What is LibertyJS?

LibertyJS is the community-super-powered JavaScript conference in Philadelphia, organized by the same team of Philadelphia JavaScript Developers, the premier JavaScript user group with over 1000 members enthusiastic about JavaScript development.

Founded in 2014, LibertyJS is the first JavaScript conference to be held in Philadelphia. Each year the event has sold out, and 2015 had over 100 attendees. We have exciting plans for 2016, and we’d love for you to be part of the event.

What's new this year?

  • Two days instead of one; both a weekday and weekend to accommodate a variety of schedules

  • Professional video footage of talks posted to YouTube after the event

  • New location in historical Old City, close to public transit and parking

Why Sponsor?

LibertyJS provides unprecedented access to overwhelmingly local JavaScript talent (although we confess to attracting some out-of-town attendees). We’re gathering smart, motivated, technical individuals for one great learning event, and by participating you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Recruit for JavaScript roles at your organization
  • Raise your profile among this specialized set of developers
  • Demonstrate your commitment to the JavaScript community

Recruiting at LibertyJS

Let's be honest. The kind of people who are so interested in JavaScript that they're coming to a community event are exactly the people you want to hire, and we have attendees who are looking for jobs.

With that in mind, we will create a job board with a special, more prominent location for sponsors who want to support the event and promote their open positions to this targeted group via 8.5 x11 printed color signs so attendees can easily see your positions.

While attendees will also be able to share positions (at a smaller 3x5 size) from their own firms on the job board, it's our hope we can authentically help our attendees and community members match to positions of interest, and also provide value to our sponsors. We reserve the right to remove any listing of any size that violates our Code of Conduct, or is from a recruiting firm that is not a sponsor, so you can be assured your visibility will not be compromised.

How to Sponsor?

We strive to find creative ways to promote your business leading up to and on the day of the event. For higher levels, logos/mentions/job postings will be larger and more prominent in all materials.

Additional sponsorship options

These are great options if you’re seeking a unique way to showcase your presence to attendees.

Lunch Sponsor: $2000 (Fri & Sat)

Be promoted as lunch sponsor for the event and provide a beautiful professionally catered spread for hungry developers. Includes extra signage indicating sponsorship during lunch, and your company may bring 3 company representatives to lunch to mingle with JavaScript developers.

Breakfast Sponsor: $1500 (Fri & Sat)

The “early bird” advantage - sponsor breakfast (including coffee, of course), and you’ll be very visible, first thing in the morning. Includes “Breakfast sponsored by” signage in what we all know to be a high foot-traffic area of events.

After Party: $3500 (Sat only)

The after party gives everyone a chance to unwind, network and chat about what they’ve learned during the conference. Sponsor the appetizers and 2 hour open bar and you're sure to be well received by the crowd. Your company may have up to 3 representatives join the party and have signage placed near the bar. Though the after party is only on Saturday evening, Friday ticket holders will also be invited.

If none of these options are quite what you’re looking for, Custom sponsorship packages are available
